I’m a Neil Diamond fan, and I’m not ashamed to say it. Our annual Easter tradition growing up was to watch The Jazz Singer (which is strange on many levels). I still own the round 8-track player that my parents used on our boat when I was a child, AND the 8-tracks. And I play them. You get what I’m saying.
2012 marks the 30th Anniversary of me going to my first Neil concert, back in 1982. This past Tuesday night I got to go see Neil perform for the sixth time, and finally bring (drag) my husband to join me with two of my dear friends to see him.
To honor the occasion I thought I should do something special and fun for the evening, so I came up with: DIAMOND BINGO!
This was such an easy and fun project to put together, and you can spend as much or as little time on it as you like. I made squares of things you may find at a Neil Diamond concert, and songs I thought he would play. Whoever filled the board first wins a prize! I found pictures on the internet that I liked, resized them in Photoshop and added some text. You don’t even have to get this fancy, you could even just draw the boxes or use the images with no text.
I made four different boards, each with 16 squares on them. I had more squares then I needed so everyone got a few squares that were unique to their board. TONS o’fun!
And the prize?
Congrats to the big winner- Christine!
