April’s Skillshare is going to be something I have wanted to do for a while:
Business for People Who Hate Business
Although there are lots of us creative people out there who get the business side of crafting, I admit that I struggle with it. And a look around online trying to find the information can leave your head spinning. I’m sure there are others who tend to get a little nervous when it comes to business, so this Skillshare is made for US!
Bethany Nixon from Reware Vintage (and one of my business partners in Handmade Detroit) will be giving a presentation to answer all those questions you may have about starting and running your own business.
Bethany will cover topics based on your business experience and questions, like:
– Registering your business with state and federal governments
– Writing a business plan and marketing plan
– Simple business accounting options and standards
– Paying sales tax
– Inventory management
– Creating line sheets for wholesale sales
– Basic sales information and figures to track
– How to provide the best customer service to increase your income and improve your customer’s experience
Due to the personal experience we want to give you, we are limiting this Skillshare to 10 people. You may sign up at our Event Bright page (Skillshare is free!).
